Situation

Sports visitors
using staff parking

This vocational school in The Hague had its own car park reserved for staff. However, its location next to several sports clubs on municipal grounds created a recurring problem. Visitors to the sports complex increasingly parked on the school’s site, as it was closer than the official municipal car park. As a result, the school had no visibility or control over who entered the premises, leading to frustration among staff who often found their spaces occupied.

Solution

Basic solution for clear access control

To keep the car park reserved exclusively for staff, the school opted for the Park-R Base module. The barrier now opens only for vehicles with a valid licence plate. Entry is controlled through ANPR, while exit remains free via inductive loop detection. This has turned the car park into a private area, without the need for physical supervision or manual checks.

Result

Peace and order on school grounds

Since the introduction of Park-R, the school has full control over who is allowed onto the premises. Staff always have access, and the car park is no longer used by visitors to the sports clubs. The situation is now clear to everyone: parking on school property is reserved exclusively for those who belong there.
