Situation

Future-proof start for new developments

At a new-build project in Sassenheim, parking had not yet become a pressing issue, as the residents’ association was only just moving in. Still, there were already plenty of ideas and requests about how to fairly distribute visitor hours. The challenge was clear: how to create a system that works reliably from day one, without setting up features that might never be needed. The association was looking for a solution that could start simple, yet remain flexible enough to expand later on.

Solution

Starting smart with Base, expandable as needed

The association chose the Park-R Base version, enabling controlled access through automatic licence plate recognition. Features such as visitor registration, advanced reporting or occupancy monitoring were deliberately left inactive for now. This gives residents a simple and accessible starting point, while the system is already technically prepared for an easy upgrade to Park-R Pro, including add-ons like Visitor Management. The association was also interested in the ability to block unwanted licence plates, a feature available in the Pro module that can be implemented later if required.

Result

Immediately functional,
ready to scale

With Park-R Base, parking management was quickly up and running. All residents now access the site via their licence plate, without cards or tags. Managers can configure everything online, without needing to be physically present. The choice was made to first experience what is truly needed before adding further modules. This approach perfectly reflects the philosophy of Park-R: adapting to the needs of each site without over-engineering from the start.
